Now in it’s 7th year, the 2019 Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk features 32 locations in Downtown Bishop featuring an impressive and wide range of creative and artistic presentations. More than 75 artists, photographers and musicians will be displaying their creative work alongside unique artistic performances and installations. And as always, free unique chocolate treats at every location! Many artists will be present at the various locations to share stories and insights about their work. Everyone is welcome, so please come out and enjoy the fun on Saturday, October 19th, from 3 PM to 8 PM and support your local artists, musicians and businesses during this entertaining, tasty, & stimulating evening!

Shortly after Bruce and Karen Licher moved their letterpress print shop to downtown Bishop in 2012, they decided to open an adjacent small art gallery space called The Project Room @ Independent Project Press. As relatively new residents in Bishop, they fashioned this art walk as a fun and delicious way to collaborate with other businesses and introduce a wide range of local creative talent to a wider audience. They inquired with their neighbors and fellow artists and were thrilled with the enthusiasm that quickly brought the art walk to life.  The idea of including free chocolate at every location was irresistible. That first year ten local shops stepped up to participate by mounting special exhibitions of artwork culled from Eastern Sierra artists. Hundreds of area residents joined in, creating a  festive, communal atmosphere. It became obvious to everyone that this was something special which needed to continue on a regular basis. Each year the Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk has expanded in size and scope, contributing to an increased sense of appreciation and enjoyment of our local arts community.

We welcome you to join us this year for the 7th Annual Downtown Bishop Chocolate Art Walk!
